Associate Quality Engineer (Buffalo, NY)

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to join the Buffalo, NY team. In this entry‑level position you will support the delivery of high‑performance hardware by ensuring that all products meet contractual quality standards and protect both Moog and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Moog liaison for Government (DCMA) and customer audits, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
• Execute defined engineering tasks under moderate guidance, including review and approval of work instructions and test documentation.
• Support build, test, inspection, and troubleshooting activities on the production floor.
• Collect data, perform simple root‑cause and failure analyses, and document findings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Design, Project Management) to drive corrective actions and design improvements.
• Conduct quality‑engineering studies and recommend changes to manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field) with 1–2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2–3 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply basic GD&T principles.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to raise concerns and stop production when quality issues arise.
