Contributor Experience Manager, Community

About the role

Scale’s Generative AI unit is looking for a Contributor Experience Manager to lead community initiatives for a global network of expert contributors. You will shape the contributor journey, keep the community engaged, and align community activities with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute strategies to boost participation and satisfaction across external platforms such as Reddit and internal Outlier Community.
• Build and maintain systems for routing questions, feedback, and disputes from multiple social channels.
• Set vision for cross‑team initiatives, inspire alignment, and monitor community sentiment to mitigate risk.
• Organize virtual events, gather user insights, and translate metrics into product and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, support, communications, marketing, and legal to ensure consistent messaging.
• Draft all contributor communications, maintaining tone and consistency throughout the contributor lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, finance or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in communications, marketing operations, program or project management.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale communities (thousands of members) on platforms like Slack, Discord or Discourse.
• Exceptional written communication with flawless grammar and tone‑appropriate style.
• Ability to turn complex information into clear, digestible content.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience analyzing metrics to refine strategies.
