Contracts Specialist – Infrastructure Projects

About the role
The Contracts Specialist will support the administration and management of consultancy, construction, equipment, technology and service contracts for major capital projects at APM Terminals in Elizabeth, NJ. You will work closely with the Contract Manager to protect commercial interests and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Administer contracts through all phases, ensuring milestones, deliverables and compliance are met.
- Maintain accurate contract records, registers and correspondence for audit readiness.
- Coordinate change management activities, including variations, compensation events and claims tracking.
- Support payment administration by reviewing contractor payment applications and maintaining contract value records.
- Prepare weekly and monthly commercial and contract performance reports for decision‑making.
- Monitor contractual compliance, identify commercial risks and support mitigation and audit activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on tender evaluations, contract awards and project delivery.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in contract administration, commercial management or related advisory roles on major capital projects.
- Experience with large‑scale infrastructure, transportation, marine, port or energy projects.
- Strong attention to detail and document‑control discipline while managing multiple contracts and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, analytical problem‑solving and planning skills in a fast‑paced environment.
