Contractor Sales Representative – Roofing Insulation

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a Canadian-owned manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is looking for a Contractor Sales Representative covering Maryland and Northern Virginia. The role suits a new graduate or junior salesperson and is designed to train them for a full Territory Sales position within two years. The incumbent supports daily sales in the territory and drives pull-through demand with contractors, builders and architects.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships and grow sales with customers in the territory
• Contact roofing contractors, remodelers, builders and architects regularly to drive demand
• Present products to qualified end users on a weekly basis
• Run product knowledge training sessions with customers
• Submit weekly intelligence reports on time
• Manage customer accounts and organize and execute a business plan to meet territory goals
• Use approved sales and marketing tools within budget

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Willingness to consider relocation for future opportunities
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Management or Marketing preferred
• Previous experience in the building products industry, B2B sales or sales coordination preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• CRM system experience preferred
• Sales analyst experience and understanding of sales performance metrics preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
