Consulting Engineering Lead, Mountain West Region

About the role

CEG Solutions seeks a Regional Practice Leader to build and run its consulting engineering practice across Denver and the Mountain West. This seller‑doer position combines business development, project delivery, and team leadership for a licensed engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and win new consulting engineering opportunities, shaping proposals, scopes and pricing.
• Lead technical delivery on complex projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget and quality while leveraging the Denver‑ and Boulder‑based team.
• Manage client relationships end‑to‑end, turning first engagements into long‑term accounts and spotting cross‑sell opportunities.
• Recruit, mentor and develop engineers as the practice expands, defining hiring needs and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Hold P&L responsibility for the regional practice, driving profitability and sustainable growth.

Required profile

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering (M.S. a plus); active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of consulting engineering experience with a proven record of business development and client management.
• Established network in the Denver/Mountain West market and strong technical foundation in building systems, energy or related disciplines.
• Experience leading project teams and mentoring engineers.
