Construction Project Engineer (Data Center)

About the role

TensorWave is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support the on‑site Senior Project Manager in delivering high‑performance data‑center facilities in Las Vegas. You will act as the documentation and quality backbone, ensuring RFIs, submittals and field inspections are handled efficiently to enable reliable AI compute infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to the on‑site Project Manager and construction team.
• Manage the RFI log, track responses and distribute updated information to all stakeholders.
• Coordinate submittal and shop‑drawing reviews between contractors, engineers and architects, confirming compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct detailed quality‑control inspections and document progress against plans and specifications.
• Assist in preparing RFQ documents for developers and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager or similar on large commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex construction documents (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Familiarity with RFI and submittal management processes and standard industry workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and high organizational ability.

• Bluebeam Revu for document control.
• RFI management and submittal coordination.
• Quality‑control inspection and RFQ preparation.
• Understanding of data‑center standards: Uptime Institute Tier Classification, TIA‑942, ASHRAE thermal guidelines.
