Construction Manager – Owner’s Representative for Amazon Facilities

About the role

Amazon's Global Engineering Services is looking for a Construction Manager to act as the owner’s representative for new and existing logistics facilities across North America. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle, from design review and contractor selection to execution and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent construction projects, including fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations and auxiliary buildings.
• Conduct detailed reviews of contractor bid packages, budgets and schedules, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cash‑flow forecasting and overall cost management.
• Negotiate construction, procurement and labor contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance and ensure compliance with Amazon’s specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate permitting, regulatory compliance and approvals with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, schedule clashes and coordination gaps across internal teams.
• Coach and guide developers, design engineers, contractors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Champion Amazon’s safety programs and maintain transparent communication with all parties.

Required profile

• Strong technical construction expertise with a disciplined approach to safety, budget and schedule management.
• Sharp commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% regionally and relocate near the corporate office if needed.
