Construction Electrician

About the role

Join 3M as a Construction Electrician and work on building electrical panels, running conduit, wiring, and installing diverse systems in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build electrical panels, run conduit, and install wiring systems.
• Install and modify facilities and production equipment, including electrical, electronic, robotics, low‑voltage, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
• Work with engineering and other plant groups on equipment upgrades, using prints and coordinating with vendors.
• Follow the National Electrical Code and 3M Manual 80 Standards, and become familiar with plant layout and equipment.

Required profile

• Technical degree, diploma or certificate in a related mechanical/electrical craft, or a Journeyman’s License recognized in Minnesota.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and trade symbols.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, overtime, and after‑hour call‑in.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
