About the role

The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, seeks a part‑time Computer Information Systems Tutor to support students in classroom and lab settings. This role involves direct student interaction, administrative support, and collaboration with academic staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet individually or in groups with students to provide tutoring and feedback.
  • Maintain student confidentiality per FERPA and report any violations.
  • Identify supplemental teaching materials and support curriculum delivery.
  • Communicate student progress to instructors and generate required reports.

Required profile

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between campuses.
  • Knowledge of postsecondary technical education mission and academic standards.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in operating computers and job‑related software programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for student and staff interaction.
