About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a part‑time adjunct instructor to teach computer applications courses at West Georgia Technical College. The position involves delivering theory and practical instruction in a classroom/lab setting and evaluating student progress.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide instruction that aligns with academic state standards and industry practices.
  • Prepare course syllabi, utilize current classroom technology, and grade coursework promptly.
  • Maintain safety, security, and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty on student learning outcomes and support recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in Business Education, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to meet response time expectations for email communications.

Required skills

  • IC3 certification.
  • Microsoft Certified Application Specialist.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Associate/Expert.
