Compensation Analyst

About the role

CB&I, which delivers integrated storage and asset-management solutions through its Storage Solutions and Asset Solutions business units, is hiring a Compensation Analyst in The Woodlands, Texas. The analyst supports the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs so they remain competitive, equitable and aligned with the company's strategy. The role covers market analysis, salary structure maintenance and partnership with HR and business leaders on pay decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze market data and maintain salary structures
• Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using external survey data
• Analyze internal compensation data for trends, pay equity and salary structure alignment
• Support base pay, incentive and bonus programs
• Partner with HR Business Partners and managers on offers, promotions and job leveling
• Take part in annual compensation processes such as salary reviews, bonus payouts and merit planning
• Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for leadership
• Ensure compliance with pay transparency and equity regulations, and assist in compensation audits and data validation
• Recommend improvements to compensation programs and handle other ad-hoc projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field
• 1-5 years of experience in compensation analysis or total rewards
• Knowledge of pay equity and pay transparency regulations
• Experience in the EPC industry is desired

Required skills

• HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle
• Market pricing tools and compensation surveys (Mercer, Radford, Willis Towers Watson)
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
• Compensation principles, job evaluation and salary structures
