Community Support Specialist

About the role

The Community Support Specialist supports Greystar’s financial operations for a portfolio of communities, handling accounting, bookkeeping, and resident/vendor communications. This full‑time position works on a hybrid schedule from Greystar’s corporate office in Coppell, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Process onsite operational expenses, reconcile work performed, and code expenses to the appropriate Chart of Accounts.
• Communicate with residents about account balances, manage delinquency collections, and enforce lease contracts.
• Coordinate vendor setup, resolve invoice disputes, and issue payments.
• Review utility billing for resident charges and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with resident lifecycle paperwork, including move‑in/out, renewals, and file audits.
• Support legal processes for regaining possession of apartments, including notice requirements and court coordination.

Required profile

• College degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum one year of property‑management or related experience.
• Strong mathematical ability for payment validation and percentage calculations.
• Proven ability to read, write, and communicate legal and financial documents.

Required skills

• Yardi property‑management software (preferred).
• Proficiency with Internet, word processing, spreadsheet (Excel) and database management tools.
• Experience in accounting/bookkeeping, delinquency management, and invoice processing.
