Community Development Intern (2027)

About the role

The Community Development Intern will support the Community Development department by conducting research, analyzing data, and assisting with outreach and publications related to affordable housing, workforce development, and other economic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on community development programs and policies.
• Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets using Excel, STATA, R, or Python.
• Prepare online and written publications, briefs, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with outreach activities, public programs, and events.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Studies, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least one semester remaining before graduation.
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and multitask effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with statistical packages such as STATA, R, or Python (GIS a plus).
