Commissioning Project Manager (Remote with Travel)

About the role

As a Commissioning Project Manager you will coordinate and deliver commissioning services for Chinook’s clients throughout the facility lifecycle, from planning and design to construction, warranty, and operations. The role is remote with 10‑20% travel to client sites, primarily in the Eastern Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Execute commissioning, energy management and facilities management services on multiple concurrent projects.
• Prepare commissioning plans, specifications, checklists, functional performance tests and reports.
• Conduct design, submittal and O&M manual reviews, and facilitate training plans.
• Perform site observations, witness functional performance testing and resolve coordination issues.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, commissioning plans and contract documents.
• Attend internal and external project meetings and review technical reports for accuracy.
• Facilitate transition of systems to operations and implement maintenance programs.
• Develop project estimates, schedules, work plans and status reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or 13 years related experience).
• At least 8 years of commissioning experience with systems such as lighting, HVAC, power distribution, UPS and emergency power.
• Minimum 4 years of people management or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years managing commissioning or engineering projects.
• Commissioning certification (CxA, CCP, CBCP or equivalent).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of commissioning standards and practices (LEED, ASHRAE, BCA, ACG, GSA).
• Experience with ASHRAE Energy Audits and energy engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Project, PowerPoint) and scheduling software.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to travel to work sites.
