About the role

The Commercial Truck Driving License Adjunct Instructor will develop and deliver curriculum for truck‑driving license courses at Augusta Technical College. This position blends classroom and online instruction to prepare students for safe, professional commercial vehicle operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and standardized syllabi using the college template.
• Deliver theory and practical instruction in both classroom and online formats.
• Evaluate student progress against established grading criteria.
• Maintain documentation such as class rosters, attendance records, and grade books.
• Update course materials, safety procedures, and required tools each term.
• Collaborate with the department head to assess learning outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
• Utilize instructional technology and the college Learning Management System (LMS) for course delivery.
• Ensure a clean, safe learning environment and enforce safety programs.

Required profile

• Adjunct teaching experience or a background in commercial truck driving.
• Ability to develop curriculum aligned with industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle safety regulations.
• Effective communication skills for both in‑person and virtual classrooms.
