Commercial Roofing Inspector (SRI) – Miami

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Inspector (SRI) to join our team in Miami. The role involves reviewing roofing applications for code compliance, performing on‑site inspections, and enforcing roofing protocols in accordance with the Florida Building Code.

Key responsibilities

• Review roofing applications and ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code.
• Conduct on‑site roofing inspections, including foundations, alterations, repairs, and demolition.
• Document daily construction activities and prepare inspection reports.
• Interact with owners, building officials, designers, and municipal authorities regarding plan reviews and permits.
• Reject incomplete or non‑conforming submittals and enforce corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in the construction field.
• Knowledge of the Florida Building Code and experience with building plan review or inspection.
• State of Florida Commercial Roofing Inspector License (SRI) – required.
• State of Florida Standard Inspector License (BN) – required.

Required skills

• Interpretation of technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Roofing code compliance assessment and enforcement.
• Construction inspection of roofing systems and related building components.
