About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a College Receptionist to work in the Financial Aid office. This Federal Work‑Study position provides front‑line support to students, staff, and the public, handling inquiries and phone calls during a day shift.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors courteously, determine their needs, and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Answer, screen, and route telephone calls promptly using the office phone system.
- Take accurate messages and deliver them in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, orderly reception area and assist with filing and scanning documents.
- Follow supervisor instructions, adhere to attendance policies, and demonstrate a “can‑do” attitude.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Enrolled as a student at the Griffin location and eligible for Federal Student Aid (financial need and Pell eligibility).
- Self‑starter with excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
- Professional appearance and strong verbal communication.
