Call Center Technician

About the role

The Call Center Technician supports Southern Crescent Technical College by serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and current students. Working in a fast‑paced call center environment, you will handle inbound and outbound communications, provide accurate information on admissions, financial aid, and academic programs, and help ensure a smooth enrollment experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer high‑volume inbound calls and respond to emails, texts, and CRM messages.
• Provide accurate information on SCTC admissions requirements, financial aid, registration, and academic programs.
• Enter and update student data in Banner and other CRM platforms.
• Route calls appropriately and maintain up‑to‑date directory listings.
• De‑escalate dissatisfied callers and deliver courteous, student‑focused service.
• Assist with outbound outreach campaigns and document all interactions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience with multi‑line phone systems.
• Proficiency using Banner and other CRM platforms.
• Accurate data‑entry capabilities.
