CNA - Progressive Care Unit (Full Time, Days)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a Unit Secretary/Certified Nursing Assistant for its Progressive Care Unit. The role is part of the nursing team, contributing to patient comfort and wellbeing under the direction of the Registered Nurse, and is a full-time day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform specifically assigned patient care tasks
• Handle clerical duties such as answering patient call lights and phones, and entering physician orders into the computer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs
• Physical stamina for long periods of standing, sitting and walking, and ability to work in a stressful environment

Required skills

• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, including attendance at new employee orientation
• TB/PPD surveillance program
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification
