About the role
The Clinical Resource Specialist supports patient care on night shifts by providing clinical, consultative, and informational services to staff, patients, and families. This role collaborates with nursing supervisors and unit leadership to promote quality outcomes and staff development.
Key responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and facilitate evidence‑based patient care for off‑shift staff.
- Provide clinical, consultative, technical, or informational services to patients, families, and clinical staff.
- Identify and resolve patient‑care problems using the established chain of command.
- Promote quality, safety, and evidence‑based practice in accordance with policies.
- Support staff development, teamwork, and professional practice.
- Assist with orientation and global education in partnership with Patient Care Specialists and unit leaders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a registered nurse in an acute‑care setting.
- Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.
Required skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods, and perform patient transfers.
