Clinical Research Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to evaluate, initiate, and maintain activities related to clinical trials at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. The role involves coordinating complex studies, communicating with sponsors, patients, and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Organize recruitment and screening of study participants, both by phone and in clinic.
• Coordinate patient activities, serve as liaison between participants and Principal Investigator, and manage adverse event reporting.
• Arrange tests and procedures per protocol, maintain study supplies, and perform clinical laboratory activities.
• Maintain communication with sponsor representatives, develop documentation, and enter data into sponsor systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant clinical research experience (or 2 years with ACRP/SOCRA certification).
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to travel between facilities and work flexible schedule including on‑call, weekends, and nights.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical and clinical research terminology, ICH guidelines, and Good Clinical Practice.
• Proficiency with computers, software, web‑based applications, and Epic electronic health record.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and detail‑oriented abilities.
