About the role
The Clinical Pharmacist will coordinate clinical pharmacy initiatives, support formulary management, and contribute to medication use and regulatory projects within Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate clinical pharmacy initiatives and support the Therapeutics Committee on formulary and medication use.
- Monitor and develop Clinical Staff Pharmacists, residents, and students, providing education and performance‑improvement projects.
- Respond to drug information requests and lead educational efforts related to medication use.
- Evaluate patient medication therapy for appropriateness based on medical history, age, and physical status.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy with at least 1 year of pharmacist experience or a PGY‑1 residency.
- Registered Pharmacist (RP) license in Pennsylvania.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, make independent judgments under stress, and adhere to pharmacy laws and regulations.
Required skills
- Pharmacy dispensing and medication monitoring.
- Medication management and formulary oversight.
- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) – preferred.
