Civil/Mechanical Manager – 100% Travel

About the role

The Civil/Mechanical Manager will coordinate planning, inspections, and quality control for utility‑scale solar projects. This role involves extensive travel to site locations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with civil and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop site‑specific inspection and test reports and maintain quality records.
• Conduct daily inspections of mechanical work, witness benchmarks, and document findings.
• Oversee civil land‑development from RFP through construction and close‑out, ensuring budget and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and ensure environmental compliance.
• Manage subcontractors, monitor compliance with the Project Quality Control Plan, and resolve RFIs.
• Provide input for integrated project schedules and milestone payments.

Required profile

• High school diploma plus 5–7 years experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel continuously on a rotational schedule.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, lift 25–50 lb, and operate on uneven terrain.

Required skills

• Experience with BIM360, Procore, or similar project‑management software.
• Proficiency in document‑storage tools such as Bluebeam and Adobe.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and create inspection templates.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
