Project Engineer – 100% Travel

About the role

The Project Engineer will support utility‑scale solar and battery storage projects, working on‑site in remote locations and travelling up to 100 % of the time. The role involves schedule and project controls management, safety leadership and close coordination with consultants and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all aspects of construction work and support project management and site staff.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports, and participate in Plan‑Of‑Day and customer meetings.
• Lead safety initiatives, ensuring Job Hazard Analyses are completed before work starts.
• Generate, maintain and update the project schedule on a weekly basis.
• Manage RFIs, technical enquiries, transmittals and ensure proper document control.
• Maintain field redline drawings and produce final record drawings at project close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or minimum three years of experience in the power industry with construction activities.
• Previous experience in renewable energy projects, preferably solar or battery storage.
• Ability to work in remote, extreme weather conditions and travel up to 100 % of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using proprietary project management and document control software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity take‑off and support QA/QC processes.
