Child Welfare Services Technician 1 (CRRU)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services is seeking a Child Welfare Services Technician 1 to provide paraprofessional social services to clients and families in Appling, Columbia County.

Key responsibilities

• Complete client intakes based on interviews with clients, families, or reporters.
• Maintain contact with other social service agencies and health care providers to exchange information and obtain updates on client progress.
• Conduct screenings and searches for case history, relatives, and related information.
• Assist clients in locating and utilizing community resources such as legal, medical, and financial assistance.
• Organize records, upload data and documents, pull reports, and compile data.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED.
• At least one (1) year of job‑related experience in a social‑services position.
• Preference given to candidates with prior experience in child welfare.
