Child Support Services Agent 4

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Child Support Services Agent 4 to enforce child support obligations, coordinate with legal and public organizations, and serve as a lead agent in Atlanta.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process child support applications and payments.
• Educate customers on child support processes, outreach programs, and self‑service options.
• Conduct paternity testing and negotiate settlement amounts.
• Initiate review and modification requests and resolve disputes to avoid court intervention.
• Handle basic financial inquiries, errors, and enforcement actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university OR one year of customer‑service communication experience OR three years of customer‑service experience.
• Alternatively, two years of experience at the lower‑level Child Support Services Agent 3 or equivalent.
• High school diploma/GED with four years of related experience.
