About the role
The Child Development Technician supports the Pediatric Kids First program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. This position works directly with children and families to promote healthy development in a clinical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with developmental assessments and screenings for pediatric patients.
- Provide age‑appropriate activities and interventions under the guidance of clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate records of observations, interventions, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists to coordinate care plans.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- High school diploma or associate degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a healthcare, educational, or community setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with families.
- Legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
