Chief of Staff

About the role

The Chief of Staff will serve as the strategic partner to the Kinston plant leadership team, ensuring seamless execution of operational strategies, governance cycles, and cross‑functional transformation initiatives. This senior position drives executive decision‑making, enhances site competitiveness, and coordinates critical performance recovery plans across the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the plant governance structure, drive KPI cascade, and facilitate Senior Leadership Team performance routines.
• Oversee operational transformation and competitiveness workstreams, partnering with Finance to monitor cost‑reduction trajectories aligned with the Sparrow program.
• Lead high‑priority “Tier 1” strategic initiatives, act as Recovery Manager to resolve production bottlenecks, and prepare executive briefings for SVPs and EVPs.
• Serve as the central liaison between the General Manager, Vice President, and functional departments such as HR, Finance, VSM, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
• Represent plant leadership in regional working groups and operational committees to ensure alignment and smooth program execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, manufacturing, or a related industrial discipline, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in driving governance, KPI management, and large‑scale operational transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑visibility projects and lead cross‑functional teams during recovery situations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the capacity to communicate effectively with senior executives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CVAT (Cost Value Analysis Tool).
• Experience using Skywise for strategic operational alignment.
