Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist – Full-Time with $45K Sign-On Bonus

About the role

Administers anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical and other pain‑producing procedures under physician supervision. Works within a collaborative model that includes residents, fellows, attendings and other staff.

Key responsibilities

• Documents patient procedures and incidents.
• Assesses patients before, during and after anesthesia administration.
• Ensures patient safety by following accepted anesthesia techniques.
• Acts as liaison to surgeons, anesthesiologists, co‑workers, patients and families.
• Participates in department quality‑assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
• Adapts behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communication preferences.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from an AANA‑accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Louisiana.
• Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and BCLS certification.
• No prior work experience required.
• Maintains knowledge of federal, state and local regulations affecting anesthesia practice.

Required skills

• Computer data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard use.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) knowledge.
