About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the St. Anne Campus, providing essential patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses. This PRN position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the plan of care delegated by staff nurses, including basic patient observations and interventions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient care area and adhere to infection‑control protocols.
  • Communicate patient needs effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Document all patient‑related tasks accurately and promptly.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Hospital or telemetry experience (preferred).
  • Current state CNA certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
