Certified Nursing Assistant - Orthopedics (Full Time, Days)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for its orthopedics unit. The CNA is part of the nursing team, performs assigned tasks and works under the direction of the Registered Nurse to contribute to patient comfort and well-being. The position is full time, days shift.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• 2 years or more of acute care experience.
• Ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Physical stamina for long periods of standing, sitting and walking, and ability to work in a stressful environment.

Threshold requirements

• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, including attendance at new employee orientation.
• TB/PPD surveillance program.
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification.
