Certified Medical Assistant – Bossier Multi‑Specialty Primary Care

About the role

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide individualized medical care to assigned patients in person, electronically, and via telephone under the supervision of a licensed health‑care provider. The role supports both patients and providers throughout each visit, ensuring smooth workflow and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Support the patient and provider throughout the visit, preparing both for the appointment.
• Answer patient questions, complete documentation, and register patients as needed.
• Maintain clinical knowledge, technical skills, and required credentials through ongoing professional development.
• Communicate effectively over the phone and in person to deliver excellent patient service.
• Adhere to Department of Transportation drug‑testing policies when working in occupational health settings.
• Adapt behavior to respect patient privacy and cultural preferences.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED; preferred completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Clinical knowledge relevant to primary‑care settings.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
