CDL‑B Truck Driver – Local City Delivery

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Class B CDL drivers for its Oakland, CA service center. As a City Pickup & Delivery driver you will complete multiple stops each day, delivering and picking up freight while returning to the terminal daily.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups with multiple stops per shift.
• Use scanning equipment to track freight and interact directly with customers.
• Handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack or dolly as needed.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and solve problems on the road.
• Physical capability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.

Required skills

• CDL Class B license.
• Operation of lift‑gate equipment and electric pallet jack.
• Use of handheld scan devices for freight tracking.
