Cargo Supervisor (ORD)

About the role

The Cargo Supervisor will oversee day‑to‑day cargo operations at Emirates' Chicago hub, ensuring compliance with EK SkyCargo procedures and delivering a consistent, high‑quality service to customers and ground handling agents.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and direct the cargo team and third‑party contractors to achieve operational efficiency.
• Monitor GHA service delivery, address shortcomings promptly, and resolve disruptions, delays, or mishandling.
• Compile and review cargo documentation for flight uplift, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Complete post‑flight activities, including dispatch messages, filing, and revenue accounting.
• Investigate and respond to internal and external queries, complaints, and claims.
• Maintain cargo systems, update rate filings, and support accurate revenue reporting.

Required profile

• GCSE (or equivalent) with at least 6 years of cargo operations experience, including 4 years in a leadership role, OR A‑Level (or equivalent) with at least 4 years of cargo operations experience, including 2 years as a cargo agent with team‑leading responsibilities.
• Proven ability to motivate, train, and give feedback to staff.
• Capability to act as senior in charge when no manager is on duty.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations.
• Familiarity with cargo handling systems and documentation processes.
