Cardiology Physician

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a physician for its cardiology practice. The role centers on compassionate, patient-centered care, with patients seen in the office and hospital rounding required.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain timely, accurate and detailed medical records using E Clinical Works (ECW), the center's office-based EMR
• Prescribe medication or therapy when necessary and recommend lifestyle changes to improve quality of life
• Explain medical procedures and test results thoroughly, and give patients a clear plan of care
• Consult with other doctors about each patient's specific needs
• Participate in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics, and serve on the hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested
• Work to improve patient satisfaction scores and team goals, and take part in business development and marketing activities

Required profile

• MD or DO, board certified or board eligible; new graduates and experienced physicians both considered
• Knowledge of computer systems such as EPIC
• Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and move patients by wheelchair and stretcher
• Ability to perform CPR and patient assessments
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, including TB/PPD surveillance and maintenance of professional license
