Business Development Representative II

About the role

Extend provides AI-driven post-purchase solutions for retailers, including automated customer service, returns and exchange management, automated fulfillment and fraud detection. It is hiring a Business Development Representative II (called an ExtenDR) in its San Francisco sales team to run outbound outreach to ecommerce and retail brands, partnering with Account Executives to turn qualified meetings into pipeline. The role is open to people who want to help write the playbook for this motion.

Key responsibilities

• Multi-channel outbound (calls, email, LinkedIn, texting) to directors, VPs and C-level executives at ecommerce brands and retailers
• Convert qualified meetings into pipeline with Account Executives
• Build a working point of view on the ICP, merchant pain points and how to win against alternatives
• Reach consistent daily activity and book qualified discovery meetings
• Contribute to the playbook and become a category expert in your vertical

Required profile

• 1-2 years in retail/ecommerce, or 6-12 months in an SDR/BDR role at an ecommerce, fintech or merchant-tech company; new grads or those with less than 1 year are not considered
• Track record of hitting or exceeding outbound activity and pipeline targets
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Located in the Bay Area and willing to work in the office 3 days a week

Required skills

• Outbound stack: Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Lusha and Chorus
• Bonus: selling to ecommerce, CX or operations heads, or working a list of Shopify Plus, BigCommerce Enterprise or Salesforce Commerce Cloud merchants
