Brunch Busser

About the role

21c Museum Hotels, which combines a contemporary art museum, a boutique hotel and a chef-driven restaurant, is hiring a Brunch Busser for its Proof on Main restaurant. The busser clears used dishes and keeps tables clean in a timely way, and reports to the Restaurant Manager and Food & Beverage Director.

Key responsibilities

• Clear dirty glasses, waste paper, napkins, plates, silverware and bowls from customers during their meal.
• Keep silverware stocked at each station and retrieve clean glasses and plates from the dishwashing area, storing and restocking them properly.
• Wipe tables and seats when appropriate, check the floor for crumbs, and clean and reset tables after each guest leaves one at a time.
• Polish silverware and complete side work as outlined in the manual.
• Assist servers and runners with any tasks they ask, and follow all proper sanitation guidelines.
• Report to work on time, ready for scheduled shifts, and maintain a positive attitude with co-workers and guests.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Responsible, dependable and punctual, with a clean and professional appearance.
• Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate problems and create solutions.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for 21c.
