Casual Housekeeper

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Casual Housekeeper in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The housekeeper performs house cleaning throughout the facility, including billeting rooms, and assists the Conferencing and Concierge staff as required.

Key responsibilities

• Change linens and make beds.
• Dust and clean furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, door panels, ledges and thresholds on a weekly basis.
• Pull trash from receptacles and clear trash from tables and floors.
• Clean and vacuum under beds, desks, gaming tables and behind nightstands several times per week or as needed.
• Keep bathtubs/showers, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, tissue boxes and soap dishes spotless, free of mold, mildew and dust.
• Sweep and mop bathroom floors.
• Dust lights, sconces and lampshades.
• Perform laundry duties as assigned.
• Notify the supervisor of quality control issues or needed repairs.
• In billeting rooms: clean inside and outside of refrigerators and microwaves on departure, set the alarm clock and microwave time accurately, and set thermostats to 70 degrees.
• Assist the Conferencing and Concierge staff as required.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old at the time of application.
• Government-issued clearance at the time of application.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physically able to stand, bend and lift for the duration of a shift, with walking, kneeling and repetitive motion while cleaning surfaces and using cleaning agents.
