Bra Designer

About the role

Fruit of the Loom is hiring an on-site Bra Designer in Nashville, TN. The designer creates commercially viable, consumer-driven bra designs that strengthen brand identity, meet seasonal milestones and deliver products aligned to fit, construction, quality, cost and margin expectations. Travel to the Global Headquarters in Bowling Green, KY is required during on-boarding.

Key responsibilities

• Create bra concepts, silhouettes, CADs, line drawings and prototypes that reflect brand strategy, consumer needs and seasonal assortment direction.
• Select fabrics, components, pad constructions and molding solutions that meet target cost, quality and margin goals, working with Product Engineering and suppliers.
• Move design work through the seasonal calendar, delivering samples, revisions and presentation materials on schedule and anticipating timing or quality issues.
• Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Product Engineering, mold technicians, fabric developers, suppliers and customers to refine designs and drive product adoption.
• Keep strong category expertise through competitive shopping, marketplace research and trend analysis, and share insights that shape seasonal direction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Design.
• 5+ years of experience in bra design.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to sell design concepts to internal and external decision makers.
• Ability to travel domestically for research, customer presentations and product development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in bra sewing techniques, pattern construction, pad development, molding, fitting and grading.
• Strong technical flat sketching and ability to turn design intent into clear development direction.
• Photoshop, Illustrator and PLM; Microsoft Office.
