Senior UX Designer - Online Team

About the role

The Home Depot is expanding its UX team to drive new initiatives. As a Senior UX Designer in the online team, you will work with strategists, designers and researchers to craft end-to-end experiences and identify customer needs. The position reports to the User Experience Manager and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and strategy (25%): combine user research outputs with partner OKRs, lead stakeholder meetings and drive product alignment with Product, Development and other UX resources
• Coaching and mentoring (5%): refer outside talent, coach junior UX resources and mentor apprentices
• Delivery and execution (70%): advocate for design-centered thinking, provide UX design artifacts, test usability of the assigned product and lead data collection and synthesis
• Travel of 5% to 20% of the time, mostly overnight; mostly sits in a comfortable indoor setting

Required profile

• Ages 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Preferred: 5-7 years of UX experience in an enterprise or retail environment, or a related degree
• Preferred: 5-7 years of experience with agile software development teams
• Preferred: demonstrated ability to self-manage complex projects and thrive in a fast-moving environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
