Creative - Social-First Agency

About the role

Blue Hour Studios, a social-first agency backed by Horizon Media and headquartered in New York and Los Angeles, is looking for a Creative. The role helps develop concepts and content that bring brand strategies to life across social, digital and video platforms, working on tight deadlines. It reports to a Senior Creative and splits its time roughly 60% creative development and concept ideation, 30% content and creative production, and 10% client relations.

Key responsibilities

• Concept and write creative across social, digital and video touchpoints that translate brand objectives into culturally relevant ideas.
• Maintain a strong understanding of social platforms, algorithms and audience behavior to find opportunities for engaging content.
• Identify recommended influencer and creator talent, develop concepts and briefs for them, and give feedback on their work.
• Assist with pre-production planning, collaborate with the senior creative team and producers, and contribute to shoots and content development.
• Work with strategists, talent teams, producers and account teams so creative matches brief objectives and brand voice.
• Contribute to brainstorming and creative development, and help prepare creative presentations.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of agency, brand or social media experience through internships, fellowships or other projects.
• Portfolio showing a social-first approach to branded content and always-on creative, including paid and influencer work.
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with clear communication of ideas.
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, adaptable and proactive, able to handle multiple projects in a fast pace.
• Ability to lift tripods, gear and props and assist in photo and video production.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
• Google Slides, PowerPoint and Keynote for presentations and slides

• Salary range of $66,300 to $100,000, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
