Bookstore Assistant

About the role

The Bookstore Assistant supports the Hall Campus bookstore by handling sales, inventory, and customer service. This full‑time, non‑exempt role reports to the Bookstore Manager and includes benefits eligibility.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the point‑of‑sale system, process cash and credit transactions, and prepare daily deposits.
• Stock shelves, conduct physical inventories, and manage online orders and locker deliveries.
• Enter vendor invoices into WinPrism, prepare approval packets, and process accounts payable vouchers.
• Maintain the online bookstore, post items to the website, and manage related social‑media content.
• Perform visual merchandising, keep the store clean, and assist with other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience, preferably in retail or a college bookstore.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a computerized cash register and point‑of‑sale system.
• Experience using WinPrism accounting software.
• Ability to create and post social‑media and web content, including photography.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office software.
