About the role
Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Biomedical Imaging Specialist I to provide equipment support and preventive maintenance for specialized biomedical and imaging devices across multiple hospital locations.
Key responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance workload for assigned imaging equipment, ensuring high compliance.
- Maintain accurate device control records and enter detailed work‑order data into the database.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, source parts, and perform cost‑effective repairs to maximize uptime.
- Provide in‑service training to fellow clinical engineering technicians.
- Assist in evaluating and monitoring work performed by external service providers.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or specialized imaging training.
- At least 1 year of progressive experience supporting medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel to multiple business locations.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as described.
Required skills
- Preventive maintenance and quality‑assurance procedures for imaging systems.
- Database management and work‑order tracking software.
- Troubleshooting, testing, calibration, and repair of electronic/electromechanical equipment.
- Use of vendor service documentation, technical manuals, and parts specifications.
