Biologist I – Sample Management & Lab Operations

About the role
The Biologist I is responsible for organizing, preparing, and analyzing clinical and preclinical samples while ensuring proper documentation and lab notebooking. This position supports the Consumer Products Services division by maintaining sample integrity and data accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, verify, track, store, transfer, and ship clinical and preclinical specimens.
- Manage inventory of lab consumables, reagents, and freezer stocks.
- Operate and maintain the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample registration, tracking, aliquoting, and chain‑of‑custody.
- Perform aliquoting and use liquid‑handler automation (Tecan, Hamilton) and standard laboratory equipment.
- Record data in electronic lab notebooks and analyze data using Excel.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a closely related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory environment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Required skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint.
- Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) operation.
- Liquid‑handler automation (Tecan, Hamilton) and standard lab equipment (centrifuges, pipettes).
- Consistent pipetting skills.
