Billing Operations Manager

About the role

The Billing Operations Manager leads all Health Information Exchange billing activities, overseeing preparation, procedures, contract validation, auditing, and training. Reporting to the Director of Business Development Operations, the role collaborates with Finance, Contract, Legal, Customer Service, Business Development, and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, review, and analyze financial and business data using analytics tools.
• Review contracts, statements of work, invoices, and other documents for accuracy.
• Conduct meetings and collaborate with accounts receivable, business development, and cross‑functional teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements and financial modeling.
• Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and company policies.
• Strategize, implement, and oversee productivity and growth initiatives.
• Prioritize and resolve critical issues and risks.
• Provide staff training and produce monthly reports on metrics and financial results.
• Manage documentation for projects, processes, and operations.
• Support Finance, Contracts, Customer Service, Business Development, and IT with analytics, forecasting, and reporting.
• Perform internal audits on financial activities as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 6+ years of business management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance or Marketing, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in healthcare and/or information technology preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Visio).
• Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics‑365, NetSuite, or similar.
• Hands‑on experience with databases and complex IT systems.
