About the role

The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection hotel in Venice, is seeking a motivated Bar Commis to join its vibrant bar team. This seasonal, full‑time position runs from June to October 2026 and offers the chance to work in a historic, high‑end hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide attentive service at the bar and tables.
• Prepare garnishes, appetizers, and a seasonally‑inspired beverage menu.
• Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies; maintain bar cleanliness and organization.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and brand guidelines.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond to requests, and ensure a memorable experience.

Required profile

• Passion for mixology and staying up‑to‑date with beverage trends.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 lb and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and commitment to safety training.

Required skills

• Basic bar service techniques (drink preparation, garnish handling).
• Knowledge of the bar menu and ability to suggest beverages.
• Attention to detail in stock management and cleanliness.
