About the role
The Banquet Server will set up banquet rooms and serve food and beverages according to guest service and sustainability standards. This on‑call position supports a variety of events at the Courtyard Los Angeles Pasadena/Old Town hotel.
Key responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms as instructed by the supervisor.
- Attend roll‑call meetings to learn event specifics and guest expectations.
- Serve food and beverages in the correct order, ensuring consistency throughout the banquet.
- Replenish drinks, check guest satisfaction, and promptly clear dishes after each course.
- Respond to special guest requests and resolve complaints.
- Follow all state, federal, and corporate regulations for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food service experience is a plus.
- Ability to remember and recite menu items.
