About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Associate Security Systems Technician specialized in low‑voltage installations. In this role you will support the campus security infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation of alarm, access‑control, and video surveillance systems.
Key responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission low‑voltage security equipment including cameras, sensors, and access‑control hardware.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize system downtime.
- Document system configurations, wiring diagrams, and service reports in accordance with university standards.
- Collaborate with facilities and IT teams on security‑related projects and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and university security policies.
Required profile
- Current employee of the University of Arkansas System or eligible graduate assistant.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
