Associate Scientist – Postdoctoral Fellow in Epidemiology

About the role

The Associate Scientist, Postdoctoral Fellow will join Merck's epidemiology team to advance research on pulmonary hypertension and related cardio‑respiratory conditions. Working under senior mentors, you will contribute to evidence synthesis, AI‑enabled platforms, and scientific publications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct systematic literature reviews, quantitative evidence synthesis, and meta‑analyses.
• Develop a risk‑of‑bias assessment tool for pulmonary hypertension studies.
• Collaborate on an AI‑enabled platform to synthesize published evidence.
• Design and execute epidemiologic studies, analyze data, and prepare study reports.
• Write manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in Epidemiology or a related field (or expected by Spring 2027).
• Proficiency in epidemiologic methods, study design, and data analysis.
• Experience with systematic reviews, meta‑analysis, and AI tools for research.
• Record of publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
