Associate – Multifamily Asset Management

About the role

We are looking for an Associate to support our rapidly growing multifamily asset management team. Reporting to the Asset Management and Operations Team, you will assist with financial analysis, budgeting, and operational oversight of our portfolio of multifamily, student housing, and single‑family rental assets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the asset management Excel model, prepare budget‑to‑actual variance reports, and run debt‑yield calculations.
• Provide capital‑call recommendations and conduct sensitivity analyses to evaluate investment returns.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analyses to support expense‑reduction projects and profitability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Construction Management, and Leasing to align objectives and monitor key operating metrics.
• Communicate project status and issues to senior management, and work with consultants on tax assessments and appeals.
• Assist in developing budget projections, re‑forecasts, and value‑enhancing initiatives such as redevelopment, renovation, and leasing strategies.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with an ownership mentality toward asset performance.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and variance analysis.
• Experience with budgeting, debt‑yield calculations, and sensitivity analysis.
• Proficiency in preparing financial reports and capital‑call recommendations.
